 “He has made everything beautiful in its time…” {Ecclesiastes 3:11}

Everything. That includes your heart. Did you know what your heart is beautiful? That’s right…that exhausted, used, broken, hurting part of yourself that seems to cause you more pain than anything good…especially anything beautiful!

If you’re like me, maybe you’re wondering if letting people see the deepest parts of you is worth it…because every time you decide to take that risk, you get hurt. So you shut them out. You stop talking. You stop connecting with them. You refuse to share your deepest secrets, pains, regrets…as well as your more heartfelt joys and successes in life. The walls that you have so carefully constructed around your heart so that you won’t get hurt as numbed you to feeling anything. You may have stopped the pain. But you have stopped the good feelings, too. And, now that you have shut so many people out, you realize…that maybe it’s not worth it. Maybe running away from the potential pain is the worst thing that you could do right now. Maybe that pain could wake you up.

He has made you so beautiful. Inside and out. He has created you exactly how He wants you to be. And that includes your heart. Maybe you feel like your heart is too torn, broken, and useless to be beautiful. Too many feet have stomped on it. You’ve been hurt one too many times for it to be used for anything good anymore.

Feeling pain is a sign that you care. Don’t cut yourself off from that. Because through your tears and the pain that you think you cannot work through…God is making everything beautiful!

“Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning how to dance in the rain.”
