Burned Out

Work. School. Mundane Everyday Life. Whatever it is that you have to do but your heart’s not in it.

Yeah, I think you know what I’m talking about.

Maybe you’re just in a season that you don’t even know why you are where you are! You don’t see God. Heck, you can’t even hear Him! You feel like you’re just stumbling along, searching for meaning..for purpose…for hope…for excitement and adventure (if you’re anything like me)! You’re dying to have something to look forward too.

But you just feel stuck. You’re here and there is no getting out. You’re simply going through the motions, but you are finding it increasingly hard to smile and find joy in the everyday life.

You’re living for the weekends.

Just know that you’re not alone. We all feel this way at times. Keep your head up.

It will get better 🙂

  1. Hey Em! I definately know how you feel. I think that the best solution for me when I am overwhelmed or wishing that things would change is gratitude. When you take the time to thank God for the many ways that He is blessing you, suddenly the present seems pretty nice. I know that you don’t need one more thing to do, but if you have the chance, One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp is a great book on gratitude.
